If you walk the edges of the map with an open eye, you’ll find something valuable: communities very close to Monteverde, connected by geography, history, climate, and culture… but invisible in most search results.
Why? Because they lie just outside the official district boundary and the marketing of the web.
Places like
Cebadilla, San Rafael, Cañitas, Las Nubes, or Cedros are technically part of Abangares (in Guanacaste) or even Tilarán. But in daily life — in the air, the fog, the roads, the people — they’re just as close to Monteverde as Los Llanos, La Lindora or San Luis.
Some even offer better Gulf views, more land, less
traffic, more silence… and more accessible prices.
